Dr. Javar Godfrey is a man of the people, a promoter of justice, and an advocate for social equality. Dr. Godfrey’s appreciation for the connection between youth and academia began when he was a high school student, and noticed the huge gap between his community, education, families and the youth around him. Dr. Godfrey was a student athlete himself and played quarterback for Independence High School in Columbus, Ohio.

 

He went on to play football at Kentucky State University where he graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work, specializing in Domestic Violence and Drug and Alcohol Counseling. In 2005, Dr. Godfrey earned his Master of Science in Social Work from the University of Louisville, which led him to social work in the public school system. From there, he pursued his Doctorate Degree from Andersonville Theological where he graduated Summa Cum Laude.

 

Dr. Godfrey’s life work has allowed him to collaborate with professional personalities, athletes, universities, corporations such as Nike, Pepsi, NCAA, NBA, NFL, United States Department of Justice and school districts across the country. His dream to bridge the gap is now a successful reality. His specialized programs have tremendous impact on youth and their families. Lastly, Dr. Godfrey’s backbone is his beautiful family, which includes his wife Kennetha and daughters Kennyce, Kniya and Knisha who live in Tampa, Florida.
